Who I am

I graduated with honors in Physics in 1994 and built my career across several national and international research institutes, becoming an expert in vacuum technology and thin-film deposition. Throughout my work, I have focused on understanding and tailoring material properties to enhance the performance of devices across various fields of physics and engineering.
In recent years, my research has concentrated on innovative systems for energy conversion and storage, with a special focus on high-vacuum flat-plate collectors, spectrally selective coatings for high temperatures, and photovoltaic-thermal (PV-T) devices. I coordinate and contribute to national and EU research projects, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to transform scientific advances into practical solutions. I am also committed to mentoring students and young researchers, promoting the growth of skills in renewable energy technologies and supporting the transition toward a more sustainable future.
